This is an extremely dangerous act that can cause a concussion, intracranial hemorrhage, irreversible damage, or even death.
That's clearly nothing short of attempted murder.
Striking someone on the back of the head with all one's strength using a weapon can have no other purpose than to seriously injure or kill them.
Such blows are even prohibited in the UFC.
