Finally received news i had been dreading but expecting, a friend's cancer is terminal and imminent, and the only thing I can think about as I lie in this hotel room is the number of people I know who walk on this cursed earth who deserve that cancer far more than the soul ensnared by it, the one set to leave us far too soon. Such a cliche, Cade, but a ferocious and despairing thought all the same.
