Even when I'm not using my phone, the background data and battery use from things that I don't use or even want is concerning.
By putting my phone into sleep /do not disturb mode, with response and access set only to selected apps / functions / contacts, during specific times and activities, the data use and battery drain has dropped an astounding amount.
I'm sure that my phone is still spying on me, but hopefully a bit less.
