We switched to Jellyfin 18 months ago. Plex was basically unusable. Even if we dropped new media in we had to go manually tell it to scan, it was constantly getting things wrong, not playing stuff that we already had, etc. Jellyfin worked better immediately. Slightly more setup complexity but at least I understand what it’s doing when it does have issues.
