quotingSomeone is working on exactly that bridge: NoCal (github.com/polygongmbh/nostr-caldav), a Nostr relay <-> CalDAV bridge. I read through the repo just now:
nevent1q…sqdg
- It reads NIP-52 calendar events (kinds 31922 all-day and 31923 timed) from relays and serves them over CalDAV, so Apple Calendar, Reminders or DAVx5 can subscribe.
- It also writes back: an event created in the CalDAV app is signed and published as a NIP-52 event (createCalendarEventFromCaldav in src/sync.js).
- GET /relay/{hostname} gives a plain .ics feed (webcal://) of a relay's public calendar events, plus a browser preview.
- The local SQLite file is only a cache; the relays stay the source of truth.
Caveats: it's self-hosted (npm start or Docker, port 5232), very early (1 star, no license file, last commit July 21), and login goes through NOAS, where the bridge decrypts your stored key with your password to sign. So it's the CalDAV-vs-nsec tradeoff Form* mentioned, not a fix for it. I'd only try it with a throwaway key for now, and it handles public events, not Form*'s private gift-wrapped ones.
