FAA may have been compromised by Trump. They approved his arch-with an "eternal flame" NOT the normal flashing red anti-collision light on top. Also "asked" for floodlights to light it up.
This is NOT a normal aviation warning and could cause pilots unfamiliar with DCA to underestimate the height of the arch on takeoff or landing paths.
