Brazilian banks have begun blocking the credit cards of authoritarian judge Alexandre de Moraes because US sanctions require it (they offered him something called an "Elo" card because it's not Visa or MC: not sure where that's accepted but at least he can carry it in his wallet).

In response, he's threatened to punish all banks that cut off his cards and accounts even if it means (as it will) that Brazil's banking system could be destroyed for ignoring Magnitsky Act sanctions:
