, no criticism (I don’t have nearly enough context) just an observation: “firefox-portal-detection.com” reads so much more suspicious than “detectportal.firefox.com”, to a degree that I’d probably block a request to the former without even searching. firefox.com does a lot of heavy-lifting if users are monitoring.
