My only addition is the idea of a BO Box, bitcoin office instead of a PO box and treating bitcoin meetups as delivery locations. Example would be someone in KC selling something to someone in STL, a driver could take it from KC to Jeff city, and another driver from Jeff city to STL. the idea being that this is slower, but private delivery and likely cheaper than fiat shipping.
A trade route is not the same as just shipping goods so it will take some development time to create not only the network of BO boxes but people regularly making those trips so you're basically just paying the drive by subsidising part of a trip they already plan to make, not outright paying for shipping. Imagine someone who goes from KC to Denver monthly for business who has the cost of their gas covered.
I don't think creating the network will be hard, the hard part will be having producers on both sides. My white whale is basically my meat being served to Denver and Nashville (KC is 8hours between bitcoin park and the space) and pot from Denver and denim from Nashville being sold along the route.
