Has China been positioning itself to take advantage of an (inevitable) global energy crisis?
Using a combination of a continuing shift to renewables & a build up of fossil fuel reserves, China seems to have (at least partially) inoculated itself from the current crisis.
Whether this is specific or general foresight hardly matters, as it is likely to cement China's role as a global political economic superpower, positioning it well as the USA declines?
