Things got more depressing once I found a bench to sit on…it was in a pleasant enough courtyard between shops.

I saw there were two great big stone tablets to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, ‘World’ and Holt history.

I have no idea how much these things cost - but I had the impression they’d been hidden out of main view along the high street.

I then proceeded to read them while eating my over priced takeaway lunch….and found myself by turns baffled, dismayed and amused.
