God is this setup slow. At least it has yet to complain about the CD-ROM drive being recalcitrant. Maybe NetBSD was the issue, or NEXTSTEP is just quieter about this sort of thing overall.
Let's hope I can figure out how to use this without a mouse at least enough for me to find out whether there is any possibility of writing something that could fake cursor movement so I could build something that beams it mouse input captured from my laptop over the network or something, because I sure don't have a Sun mouse handy right now.
