After all this while resisting, I finally decided to try out Claude Code this week and fully agent-done coding. So far, I have the tab open, continue, and ask questions, copy-paste kind of workflow. I mostly do a lot of the same pandas numpy transformers stuff and it doesn't really need any completion or generation. So far, it's been amazing for debugging and explaining someone's code. (and my own code, i cant believe i write like this)
This was triggered by reading about spec driven development and I liked the idea. so I did some reading, installed OpenSpec and got to work. I've already knocked out one app that had been pending for a long time. So, it works. And I didnt have to make a flask app or a streamlit app, it did everything in JS that can be served from a static site. (I am strictly pytholingual)
But...... I feel none of the usual excitement of making something. Could be because I'm in one of those moods (what the hell is even the last 3 months man). Or maybe because this thing has been pending for so long that it's crossed the joy/reward zone. Or it could be because it feels like I did nothing except have the idea/need. it could also be because all you AI haters got through to my subconscious and now I'm gonna need therapy to enjoy making things.
