Initially, Mari wanted to go home. She did not want to be in the hospital for her birthday.
I don't remember exactly what convinced her to say, yes, let's do it next week, but that's the decision she came too eventually.
So that's how our Kagoshima trip went from being 5 days/4 nights to 3ish weeks.
