First consider how your app is impacting and perhaps invading people's existing social space, that the fediverse spans up for us fedizens. This is our home you are impacting. Your "fun features" perhaps aren't fun for all of us. And for some devs the advice is to self-reflect on how an "I can and will program it anyway" is incredibly selfish and rude, and enshittifying for fedi as a whole.
