Yep, I use a combo of FBPurity (now abandoned but mostly works), and Ghostery, however a change in FB's ad code yesterday (or Friday) stopped both from blocking ads again.
The new ad code is a bit vicious, it uses CSS to reorder the letters to detect ads, and is rather tricky to detect reliably.
