Are you really claiming "reverse sexism" here? Women have been marginalized far, far more than men have. This is abundantly obvious. When you're saying "sexism can go both ways" you're minimizing their experience.
My advice would be to stop and listen, try to understand their perspective, see the interaction from their point of view.
