i am always wearing hearing protection. ALWAYS. at home, in the car, in the gym - everywhere and at all times. i just switch different kinds of protection depending on the environment.

from the Universal Fit series i have the "Music" and the "Work" but i mostly use the "Work" because the "Music" ones are too gentle and offer very little actual protection, and the sound is too crisp for my taste. i prefer the more muted, warmer sound of "Work"

i buy corded foamies by the 100 pack and each pair lasts about a week on average before the cord gets ripped off.

Foamies are much stronger but you wouldn't want to listen to music ( or to anything else ) in them. They're great for mowing the lawn though.
