Al-Khatīb (ra) stated:
Once a Khārijī, a Murjī and a Rāfidhī gathered at Imām Abī Bakr ibn 'Ayyāsh (ra). When he exposed and refuted the Rāfidī and the Khārijī, he said to the Murjī: "You are the craziest of the three, they claim that you are in the hell-fire and you are claiming they are in paradise!"
