#ClimateDiary We had a terrible thunderstorm here last night, with several lightning strikes really close to us - and this house 1.2m away was struck and caught fire. Hardly anyone has lightning/earthing rods in the UK. We don’t, I think! Meanwhile worrying about my 83yo mother in 40°C Berlin. She is ok I think but no fans or AC. We are all so unprepared.
