We made it Home.
Battery at 8%. Remaining range est 31km.
Depending on your world view, either "skin of our teeth", or "plenty to spare!".
Margin would have been much more comfortable, but SOMEBODY decided they don't like "Jo'burg" involved with any destination charger, and we can def make Centurion Mall, where there is a DC charger.
And so we did, with the #EV in eco (limp) mode, and 59km range remaining.
Only to find that #CenturionMall has mastastisized into an Eldritch Laberinth of Hellish Turture.
Where everything was closing down for the day and everybody was making for home.
After burning 3Km of range trying to find this DC charger in that hellhole, we gave up, took a breath, and shot for home.
Which we made. Just.
So. Lessons: don't just pass up chargers "because".
And the range estimate is pretty ok :)
We now also have a quest: locate that damn Centurion Mall charger, or prove it does not exist!
