You can tell I haven't been paying much attention to it the last few years since slowly but surely people are slipping in stuff like "according to this article, this may be completely made up"

I think Atlas Obscura writing an "article" a few years back that basically took a lot of the made up bullshit I wrote and turned it up to 11 brought too much attention to the article.
