Following that logic down the road a bit, you easily arrive at why Free Software types are so hostile to agentic coding -- they don't *want* the barriers lowered, they don't *want* the plebs coming in and messing up the place. So they latch on to copyright, which they *hated* until it was suddenly convenient, as an excuse to insult and degrade those they deem inferior.
