I was just about to order a new UPS. My old one (APC) has a dead battery, but it's also a bit weak and it has this REALLY annoying beep that keeps going off when mains power is lost. It's in my bedroom, so fucking annoying when there's a blackout.
I found a good sounding one at my local store. Eaton 5E Gen 2. Sounds good. But... does it beep?
Googling... yeah, people are complaining that you can't stop the beep on Gen 2, only Gen 1 could.
