Thinking about the Mastodon version of the #Fediverse that is so user hostile they don't like adding things to the main web UI that would make us want to stay, such as a way to schedule posts without using a third party client or the API. I just scheduled three posts for the end of the year and it didn't kill #Mastodon. But Mastodon keeps telling us they don't want influencers here. I agree. Fuck influencers. They should be ran off the internet. But you can't want people to switch to Mastodon but then don't want people to use Mastodon. Logic never works like that. I've been here since 2017 ish, and while I get viscerally annoyed at all the folks that want to have an algorithm, even a custom one, I'm not trying to chase them off.
