I will say that things like what is happening with NYU currently should be viewed with a slight bit of skepticism with those responses of what is violating the group's policies of protected speech, my main thought is that it depends on if the group stating these things has had a good track record with handling topics like this previously, as just overall, discussing the israel/palestine conflict does require just some amount of nuance
(there was both the cop responses to the earlier college
protests and Facebook/Meta also having previously made similar new rule changes about not being able to use "zionist" as any sort of insult, and the main thing there is that those groups dont have too much of a reputation for being resonable with deeming what speech is hateful and fighting against that)
