#WritersCoffeeClub for Oct 9. How does your own sense of mortality influence what you write?
In pretty much all cases there is a capital "G" God whether people know it or not and there is an afterlife, even if that's in question.
In some cases, people even come back for big moments.
I don't write death cheaply, even if it's not the end; it's a dramatic thing with weight that I hope people will feel, and then feel again. I don't do "one cry" deaths. If I can get three cries out of a death, I feel like I'm doing pretty good. But there's always going to be at least two.
