One of the dynamics I hate the most is when people give me unsolicited information and then tell me I can’t share it with others. This happened to me yet again in a professional setting and I found it very triggering. At first I thought it was because it was like all the turf wars I saw in academia. But then I realized it goes back earlier, to my childhood which was full of estrangement, divorced parents trying to control information through me, and being parentified etc etc etc
