My first book sold maybe 2-3 dozen copies. It's been out fifteen years and I technically still haven't broken even on it. But one of the greatest compliments I got as a writer was when a cousin quoted it back to me with a "I read somewhere..." and then remembered a few seconds later, "Wait, that was in YOUR book!" 😁
It's important for those of you who may have written, or might yet write a book to know that nearly every book that I've liked *this* much wasn't some big hit. Not some acclaimed work.
It was just a book that finally found one of the people who would love it.
And your audience is out there too.
It might be like six people, but will you deny them freedom?
