off-grid friends: do you have experience with inexpensive low-voltage cutoff devices for your solar setup?
my secondary solar setup is a 12v DC system that has an electric cooler on it. i'd like to get a device that cuts power around 12.2, and brings power back on maybe around 12.7 or 12.8.
this is the device i'm currently looking at: https://www.amazon.com/CZH-LABS-Voltage-Disconnect-Module-30Amp/dp/B07WDLFFFB/141-1924090-9727262
it has several settings for disconnect/reconnect, including a disconnect at 12.1v and a reconnect 12.8v. that would work for me, but the reviews are very mixed. some people say their device blew out after a few months, others say that the voltage meter in the device was inaccurate and the system wasn't cutting off or turning back on at the right voltage, etc. so i'm a bit hesitant to try this one, but it is the closest one to my needs that's pretty affordable.
if anyone has experience with this exact device or recommendations for similar devices, i'm all ears.
