So I gave it a little while to make sure it was all going to work with the new...um....process, and it does seem to be working fine with a gravity drain. I can sleep at night. And this is not a traffic area, so the hose can come right out if I'm carrying an armful of stuff.
Yesterday the National Grid guy came in and shut off my gas, which was the ultimate end goal. After 24 years in this house, I am done with that.
No more natural gas. YAY!
