I have organic cotton and organic cotton mesh bags -- but my crisper drawer situation sounds different from yours.
I also get biodegradable liners for my bathroom garbage cans. They are semi-transparent. You might be able to use (and re-use) them for storing produce, and then compost them and put them in the trash when they wear out in the confidence that they will break down.
