I wanted to write a blog post about how to define the line between dev dependencies and regular dependencies in a JavaScript app (not library). I did some research and thought I have a good idea for how to define dev dependencies. I told it to my husband, and he hit me with an alternative definition that I haven't even considered 🤣. Which only confirms my suspicion that as an industry, we also don't have a clear agreement on what dev dependencies are.
