Our new house in the Hutt has a swimming pool. Not that we wanted one, but love the house.
It had a very large reticulated-gas water-heater. For me that felt like the epitome of climate disregard and extravagance. I couldn’t stomach burning gas to heat a pool!
Yesterday, it was replaced with a very efficient electric heat pump. Timer set for it to be powered by our solar panels.
I’m happy.
