Swastika Snowman Under Investigation; Condemned by ADL
“An antisemitic snowman led to an investigation by police in Westport, CT.
The snowman with a swastika was discovered on Feb. 9 around 5:40 pm police said.
A local rabbi and a blog were among the first notified by the person who found it.” - WFSB 2/11/25
The ADL chapter of Connecticut’s statement on the matter:
“We are deeply concerned about a snowman with a swastika and what appear to be other characteristics of Adolf Hitler found in a park in Westport, CT. The swastika is the symbol adopted by Hitler as the primary emblem of the Nazis. The Holocaust was a singularly evil event, and it is inappropriate and offensive to make light of it. At a time of rising hate and antisemitism, we call upon community leaders to speak out against this hate. Hate is not child’s play.” - Westport Journal 2/10/25
