Fellow musicians, how do you approach mixing and mastering an album when it comes to transitions between songs vs fading them in and out?
I'm working on an ambient project and I'm unsure whether I would prefer to use transitions so that these songs live in the context of the album or if I want them to be distinct and be listened to on their own.
The transition approach would make mastering _a lot_ easier though :D
