I wouldn't label myself as a metalhead. I had a jean jacket and long hair in high school... and I did still continue to keep up with the thrash bands. It went Iron Maiden into thrash into punk and hardcore music... then 1989, Ministry's fourth album came out, the first Faith No More album with Mike Patton came out... I got into Danzig... hardcore bands from NYC and NJ toured in our area... I played bass in both a death metal and hardcore band... there was lots of stuff going on.
