⚡️🤖 NEW - The Chinese community has reverse-engineered Claude’s ban mechanism. Here are their findings

Claude uses a points system. Upon registration, an account receives an initial score and then gains or loses points based on behavior. Falling below the threshold results in an immediate ban. Regaining points is very difficult

Factors influencing the score:

Sign-up
- A clean IP address is the most important factor. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a home connection, but it must be clean
- Gmail is no longer the best choice; there are email services that carry more weight
- Accounts that request KYC immediately upon sign-up may be rejected
- Signing up via the mobile app adds points

Payment
- Subscribing immediately after registration causes you to lose points
- Upgrading directly to Max causes you to lose a lot of points. It’s better to wait two days and start with Pro
- Requesting KYC during payment indicates the account is under observation, but not necessarily banned
- A credit card from a foreign issuer adds points. Google Play works too. Virtual cards result in a loss of points

Usage
- Don’t use up your entire limit all at once. It’s better to alternate between two accounts than to drain a single one completely
- The desktop client offers a small bonus. Avoid the web version as much as possible
- The mobile version also offers a small bonus
- Enabling the memory feature earns you points. The more memory files you have, the higher your score

IP and Device
- Stability is key. Don’t change your IP; use the same one as much as possible.
- Proxies must be in global mode with TUN enabled.
- Logging in from multiple devices causes you to lose a lot of points. Ideally, use one computer and one client.
- Changing your IP often, logging in frequently, or having high traffic causes you to lose a lot of points.

Account Age
- Older accounts have a huge margin of error. Accounts from 2023 clearly have a higher score
- The score increases over time, but very slowly

Other
- Windows and macOS are equivalent. Linux causes you to lose points
- Time zone and language have almost no impact. You won’t get banned just because you’re in Beijing time
- Telling Claude that you’re Chinese isn’t a problem; the system doesn’t trigger a ban based on that
- Using “Fable” a lot causes you to lose points
- Switching to “Max” likely puts you on probation, except for an old account with high weight

Observation Period and Ban
- When an account approaches the threshold, it may enter an observation period. A typical sign of this is being logged out.
- Continuing to lose points during the observation period leads to a ban.
- High-scoring accounts can survive multiple observation periods.
