I decided some time before this craze to never install anything globally on my machine, every project that needs tools and libs gets set up only for itself with direnv. Required use of some agents has made me so happy with this decision, they don’t get to play around every version of anything I have tested out and they typically do work outside the project dir which forces it to write out in its shell prompt what tool it is going to use for any job.
