I'm not sure you disagree? I was merely highlighting that there is both carrot and stick. There are material constraints; negative / destructive limits (starvation, militant oppression) as well as productive desires (food, comfort, etc).

MONEY does not exist in a vacuum. Society does not exist in a vacuum. Etc. you can't just posit violence comes from outside? Like, there's a social ecology (non-technical)
