Woke to the news that another 80yo icon had died.

Today’s earworm. That movie certainly challenged my ideas about how people might really be. The sad thing is that it presented trans as outrageous. I don’t have a problem with outrageous trans people, but it’s not just about too much make up & shocking clothes, & for a while I worried that quieter types might take longer to find themselves. But I guess, like most social movements, it’s often the more outrageous ones who are brave enough to lead the way. And good on them.
Partner is golfing & I plan to paint… my meds are taking a while to kick in, so naturally I’ve started to clean the oven, taken the cats outside, scrolled… This is usually partner’s job, using the self cleaning function, but he waits until it’s filthy & then it stinks out & pollutes the house. So I’m doing a quick clean and will then bully him into finishing it off. (We’ve had a few smoky cooks lately, windows thrown open & HEPA on to thwart the smoke alarm.)
Okay, must move…
I hope everyone is in a good or at least tolerable space, and able to find some pleasure (or lots!) in something.
