My M.A. linguistics/Romance studies students have to submit their term papers in Quarto with all the necessary files for me to be able to locally re-render it. It's a joy to see how they creatively use this highly flexible format for their projects. This morning I was about to award one student a grade of 1,3 for their paper (second best possible grade in Germany for an excellent paper albeit some methodological flaws), but then I realised that, in addition to their raw data, they also submitted a README and a data dictionary so I've changed my mind and have rounded that up to a 1,0. All my courses include a good dose of Open Science and it's wonderful to see students really taking these things on board! 😊
