Being Not-American I find the idea of a USA-Bot quite a bit more scary than a China-Bot. The USA do far more military adventurism, interfere in other country's democracies though intelligence and through bombs.
If there's a US/China AI war, I don't think the EU should automatically support the US, certainly. Support whichever is more open even.
