I'd say marginally more, because it is a carryable token and less ephemeral.

As to the thingness of money, it isn't.
Money is at root promises. Standardised, abstracted, fungible, promises.

Make too many promises and each is less believed - inflation etc.

Be less trustworthy or trusted, and the exchange rate tilts against you.
