Okay. Here’s a major publication describing my presence at the Bitcoin Center in NYC, with Vitalik, in June of 2014:

> Last June I went to the Bitcoin Center to hear a speech by Vitalik Buterin, a 20-year-old Russian-Canadian tech-prodigy. In one corner of the room that night, the notorious hacker-troll Weev, recently released from prison, was tinkering on a laptop. “Living off my bitcoins,” he told me, when I asked what he was up to.
So if you aren’t familiar with my story, or the timing of my life, I had just got out of prison. And when I got out I had my own self-custodial wallets waiting for me, 0% fiat, enough to be in semi-retirement. Just to give you a signal of how ridiculous your “new here” assertion might be.
> Without Luke its doubtful Bitcoin would exist,
LOL
> Luke is "incompetent kook"?
Yes. Luke got completely owned and lost all his coin and has been caremad ever since. Not learning a single lesson from being completely owned, he subsequently hosted the Knots project on a box he already knew had been hacked, which he had never rebuilt or reimaged. For something as serious as Bitcoin, you don’t even want to keep a machine that has been owned physically present. Because a million nasty things can be stuck in places that are hard to clean, like BIOS firmware. Any critical infrastructure if you have serious crypto is basic. Box gets owned? You build a brand new box *from scratch* and sell the old one on eBay.
I’m sorry, Luke is not a serious person and it is knot a serious project.
