They’re permanent (until they fall apart, unless removed because of elf ‘n safety or commercial logging considerations), often site-specific, using local materials, sometimes hard to get to and find, and by trained artists who were on residencies in the area at the time. The result is dozens of pieces of work that are enchanting and fun to visit.
Is there anywhere else quite like Grizedale?
I can think of places in the UK and Finland which tick some but definitely not all of the boxes above.
