⚡️🚨 ALERT - Kraken is reportedly now asking certain users to explain what they plan to do with their Monero… even after withdrawing it from the platform.
According to a Reddit user, in an email, the platform questioned a customer about their XMR withdrawals and explicitly asked:
“Can you explain the reason and purpose of these transactions, including the intended use of the Monero after withdrawal?”
Kraken is also reportedly requesting information about the customer’s professional activities and the source of their funds.
The user reportedly has only seven days to respond. The platform generally justifies this type of scrutiny by citing its regulatory obligations to combat money laundering.
