π’ Israel Demolishes Homes in Southern Lebanon as Strikes Hit Across Multiple Towns
Israeli forces carried out demolitions in the southern Lebanese village of Al-Qantara β near the Israeli border in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon β on Tuesday, with explosions powerful enough to shake buildings 15 kilometers away, according to photojournalist Courtney Bonneau, who reported from the scene. One resident said a friendβs cousin lost three homes and a carpentry workshop β machinery alone valued at over $100,000 β in the blasts.
The demolitions were part of a broader wave of Israeli military activity across southern Lebanon Tuesday, according to Al Mayadeen. A drone strike hit a motorcycle in Majdal Zoun β a coastal town just north of the Israeli border. Airstrikes struck Braasheet, Tibnine, and Shaqra β villages in the Bint Jbeil district near the border β while artillery fire, including what Al Mayadeen described as banned phosphorus shells, was reported between Braasheet and Shaqra.
The attacks extended to Eastern Zawtar, Touline, and Khirbet Selm in the Nabatieh governorate, with Bayyout al-Sayyad also coming under artillery shelling. A separate airstrike hit Jabal al-Batm, and a drone targeted agricultural land between Burj al-Shamali and al-Housh on the outskirts of the coastal city of Tyre.
