Simplicity wins again.
Permit me a slight deviation. While a twenty degree drop in temperature sounds impressive, the US continues to struggle with the clumsy Fahrenheit system invented in 1724. They're not alone because (checks) Palau, Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and the Cayman Islands still use the antiquated system.
For those of us who live in civilised countries it's difficult to quickly visualise or translate °F figures. Or gallons, or pounds & ounces or miles.
When will the US finally appreciate the elegance and logic behind the more modern (1742) °C system?
Nice work on the train tracks, though.
