Something I'm sure will get people to yell at me on here, but a critique of AI that doesn't resonate with me at all is: "…but they trained it on stolen works." Reductively there are two positions here:
- Piracy good and IP laws bad
- Piracy bad and IP laws good
I see this as an example of how important projects like Anna's archive and the internet archive really are. I want information to be free!
